Parents typically do not want to imagine their teens having an abortion, but hundreds of thousands of teen girls become pregnant every year in the United States, and most of those pregnancies are unplanned.
According to the CDC,teen pregnancieshave sharply declined sharply over the past decade thanks to increased campaigns aimed at educating young people aboutbirth control. But, the United States still has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the industrialized world.
