Mushrooms are rich in antioxidants and other compounds that are proven to improve gut health, decrease inflammation, improve the body’s stress response, and provide protection against some cancers and chronic diseases. However, it’s unclear if those health perks are benefits of mushroom coffee as well.
The brewed beverage is generally a mix of ground dried mushrooms and coffee beans, so its benefits will vary based on the blend’s individual combination of ingredients. What’s more, research has yet to prove whether mushrooms retain their powerful perks after being processed and brewed.
