Neutrophils are white blood cells that work to fight infectious organisms and help manage disease. Normally, healthy neutrophils make up about 40%–60% of leukocytes (white blood cells). They number 2,500–6,000 per cubic millimeter (cu Mm).These measurements can be obtained with acomplete blood count (CBC), which is a blood test.
